Aerial manouevres
Saturday, February 3rd, 2007 11:53 amI am bracing myself for the fun of unraveling several metres of coaxial cable currently thread around furniture in the computer room up here in The Tower and rethreading it around furniture in the bedroom so that I can plug it into the outdoor aerial. I have a signal splitter and all the fixings, so it is just a matter of effort.
Oh, how the quest for watchable telly in the living room continues! This is the downside of having an unresponsive landlord - which is ironic since this suits us pretty much the whole of the rest of the time. Ah well.
As well as giving us (hopefully) decent TV reception downstairs, the rerouting of the cable will mean that it is no longer strung across the floor in front of the bedroom door, which means that should somebody trip, they will be more likely to hit the floor locally instead of replicating the standard Hollywood drunk on a staircase fall that they risk at the moment. It's an all win situation, then. Better telly downstairs, less likelihood of injury upstairs. I just have to stir myself and therein lies the problem.
In a little while, then...
