Yesterday was a quite a busy time as ellefurtle and I blitzed the Athenaeum Club with sponges, cloths & exotic unguents, dusters and the vacuum cleaner in an attempt to disguise the habitual squalor against the forthcoming visit of Mr & Mrs telemeister from Californie. I still have a little to do this morning, but by and large, I think we're done.

I have today and tomorrow off; it's going to be a great week. A combination of annual leave and bank holidays means that I shall only have to work on Wednesday and Thursday morning. For once I am full of feelings of bonhomie towards the civil service. These observations are almost certainly linked.

I may post later. I may not. Who knows?

Last minute chores complete, I am just waiting for the phone call.

It's a little intimidating waiting to go and met and greet an old school friend when it's close on thirty years since you've seen them in the flesh. I'm looking forward to it, but damn.
