Back in Shropshire
Thursday, September 6th, 2007 08:38 pmWell, I am back in Wem and have read a selection of LJs, skimmed others and ignored some. I shan't tell you who is who or which is which, so you may assume that yours has been read, digested and enjoyed. Provided you wrote something, that is. I'm not psychic.
We got back from the coast after just two full days down there, but it was enjoyable anyway, just Mater and me and a bit of quiet. I haven't seen the sea at all since Easter last year, so it was nice to wander along the prom and take in lungs full of the old ozone. For some reason I have taken a heap of photos, too. Digital cameras clearly make me snap-happy. I think it is the instant gratification and lack of processing fees that does it. Most of them are drab and will probably get deleted, but a couple, particularly the sunset over Cardigan Bay seem to have come out nicely. I will probably drop them onto Flickr when I get back to The Smoke so that you can ignore them at your leisure.
It is symptomatic of my absence from London that I am now fully up to date on all the soaps that I normally eschew, and that I have, for reasons I can't explain to myself, been watching Hell's Kitchen avidly.
That is what happens when I have no access to the intarweb and lots of time on my hands.
I rather wish I was at the quiz tonight with
ellefurtle and
colonel_maxim. They will drink all of last week's winnings and I shan't be there. Boo. Never mind. Anyway, they may win tonight, who knows?
Well, I'm off again. Tomorrow we go to the cemetery to inspect the newly installed headstone on Dad's grave. Six months already, eh?
Is it unworthy of me to think that Monumental Mason would make great character name in a game of Champions?
