Eurovision and Glusagna

Tonight we feast on Furtle's home made Glusagna, to which I have just added a few gills of a passable valpolicella; it was very thirsty. I have obtained Waitrose salad to have with it and some crisps and stuff so we may eat and watch Eurovision without being disturbed.

I have the rubber brick handy for comment on the poorer Euro offerings. I expect extensive use of this item.

It is unlikely that I shall have to watch Eurovision on my own as I had feared; Hurrah!. Furtle was supposed to be raiding on Warcrack, but they could not assemble 25 players for a raid group, nor the requisite mix for a ten player group. There is a half-hearted attempt to get five players together for something smaller, but tonight the pull of the Eurovision Song Contest is too strong on the Scandinavian psyche and everyone knows that without mad Swedes, Danes, Finns and Norsemen, European Warcrack is but a shadow of its possibilities.

I go now, to prepare for the Lord Wogan's commentary on the best and worst of Euro-Pop. I have not heard the UK entry, nor indeed any of them. I understand the Swedes are favourites, but UK bookies do not seem to understand the still powerful pull of the Bear In The East and its cheap resources when it comes to the voting patterns of the quondam Soviet Bloc. Expect something sung by a fat bird wearing industrial eyeliner, to the accompaniment of electric balalaikas and electric drums to garner much attention from our fur-trimmed friends from the east.

Have a good one, Eric. I expect it's redundant to warn you about BOOZE, so I shan't!
