The cols I was so proud of having avoided seems to have crept up behind me and shivved me between the shoulder blades from behind.
It became very apparent last night in bed that there was no way I would be able to lie down and indulge in such luxuries as breathing comfortably, though a couple high-yield paracetamol horse pills did dry my nose out just enough for me to get some fitful dozing completed. This morning I was absolutely knackered, so I emailed work and went back to bed. As is usual with things, I felt better when I got up and moved around, but that doesn't do much to combat the tiredness and there's only so much paracetamol a body can realistically absorb in a day.
At this moment feel quite warm, but much of the day I have felt chilly, even with a sweatshirt on. A quick trip to Waitrose to buy milk reignited the sneeze glands and left me feeling drained. I'm not sure whether or not to scrounge an extra day off, tomorrow, just to make sure.
Furtle has been to the theatre tonight with her family. They went to see The Woman in Black, which the pair of us went to see some months ago. I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did on each occasion I saw it. Of course, Furtle may be a little ambivalent since it seems from a text her sister sent to me that she may have lost her phone. Still, I have managed to get it call-barred so anyone finding it cannot run up massive bills calling premium rate numbers in Timbuktu. Hopefully we can sort that out and get a replacement sharpish.
Right. I'm off to find more tissues.
