Achey breaky
Tuesday, December 16th, 2008 10:42 amI am shattered this morning; simply not enough sleep last night.
My knee is slowly improving, I am taking less ibuprofen and it is lasting longer, although I still get the odd swear-worthy twinge especially when I forget and move my leg as if it were fully fine. The problem is that at night in bed, when there is nothing to distract the mind, even a dull ache can keep you awake and so it transpired. I dozed off, woke up about an hour later and that was that until I got up and sloped off downstairs in pursuit of painkillers. I can get by on five hours sleep but not three and a half.
Still, we have the go ahead from the Minister to issue our bumf, so I can put all that into motion today and then leave around five this evening (I hope). I expect I shall turn in a bit earlier than usual.
Before last night’s game I added a few more tunes to my iPod. I took the opportunity to download and include the album art where it was available, too. It takes up almost no memory and looks nice on the screen. Due to some odd tagging by someone somewhere, not all the album art is as accurately identified as one would hope and iTunes is forced to make gallant guesses. This means that while Queen II has the proper sleeve design displayed next to the tracks, their eponymous debut album displays a photograph of Helen Mirren wearing a tiara.
We are most amused.
I haven’t worked out yet who the chap masquerading as George Harrison is...
On another tack entirely, I think it is now probably time to start using my Christmas icon. Watch me forget over the next few posts...
