Spring Cleaning

Oy.

We have just done the last big piece of Spring Cleaning; it will soon be time to start at the other end of the flat again. This is the domestic version of the painting of the Forth Bridge. Ah well, it's pretty much done now. Based upon the smell of bleach emanating from the bathroom, I'd say Furtle has decided to give that the once-over, too.

I shall be wandering into the West End a little later. I want to take a peek around Forbidden Planet et al, not having made it to Mega City after all.

First, though, something to drink - I am torn between coffee and a tropical fruit squash, though the latter is full of sugar and frankly I don't need that so much. I suppose a glass of water would do, but...

As soon as Furtle is out of the bathroom, I think I shall stick my head under the tap to cool down a little.

What happened to my week off..?

New Kit

While I was on holiday, Wolves unveiled the strip they will be playing in next season in the Premiership:

I am hoping that they do a replica in a suitably lardy boy size for me (and most typical fans). The shirt has a slight retro feel to it and the advertising isn't too intrusive - I am old-fashioned enough to wish there were no such thing as a 'shirt sponsors' but that bird has flown, sadly. Anyway, when I consider what the strip looked like when 'Doritos' sponsored the club, well...

(no subject)

Sitting sweltering on the Tube on my way home from the West End, I found myself pondering the import of a tattoo.

More precisely, it was the tattoo being sported by a young woman I saw in town. She had carpe diem stencilled in quite acceptable italic script on that unnamed piece of skin south of the small of her back, but north of her bum.
