While I was on holiday, Wolves unveiled the strip they will be playing in next season in the Premiership:

I am hoping that they do a replica in a suitably lardy boy size for me (and most typical fans). The shirt has a slight retro feel to it and the advertising isn't too intrusive - I am old-fashioned enough to wish there were no such thing as a 'shirt sponsors' but that bird has flown, sadly. Anyway, when I consider what the strip looked like when 'Doritos' sponsored the club, well...

All well and good, but the logo slapped across the front of a shirt, big enough to be read on telly, well...

Yes indeed. You are then advertising a bag of crisps rather than showing your allegiance to the football team of your choice. If they make them, perhaps a discreet lapel badge would be nicer, if that's not too adolescent a thing to do.

So this is a football team for people who like Sunny Delight?

That's certainly a colour suited for foggy, wintery games.

I hope it is a bit darker in reality; more old gold and less, well, orange.

I am trying to picture you bouncing about on one. Not a pleasant image.

Not at Albion it hasn't as we haven't had a sponsor all season. Just a shame that our first proper, classic shirt in God knows how long coincided with such a rotten season.

Newport County used to play in Black and Amber... they fell out of the 4th division years ago - actually they were promoted once and it took a world war to stop them going into the 1st Div, so there.
County got promoted so they brought in Hitler.
