So last night as usual we went to the Griffin for the quiz. [livejournal.com profile] budgie_uk arrived, looking well after his recent encounter with piggy-sneezing and a little later a hot and bothered [livejournal.com profile] colonel_maxim turned up, too.

Well, we won again. I’m not sure that we will be making many friends; recently we have been there or thereabout far more than we haven’t and I do worry that some of the people will get fed up with seeing the same faces approach the envelopes to try for the jackpot. I know in the past I have found it tiresome when some other team wins all the time (though I don’t find it half so tiresome when my team and I win…).

Anyway, as I said, we won and I sent the good Colonel to try his luck with the envelopes. I’ve pointed out before that I could have a choice of one and still not win; Budgie had tried once, not picked correctly and wasn’t feeling confident and Furtle didn’t fancy it.

He picked the right envelope. We got the jackpot: £95 each to do with as we please! Which reminds me, a certain person shoved my share in her purse and I haven’t seen it yet. Hmmm
