Forward Look
Friday, August 7th, 2009 11:09 amI am looking forward to this weekend – we are off to chez
wallabok in sunny (?) South Cambridge tomorrow and attending Spitfire Day at RAF Duxford on Sunday. Lots of vintage planes, plus the various museum hangars and the GIFT SHOP.
I just hope the weather stays clear. It doesn’t need to be sunny provided there is a high cloud base and it’s dry. We will be most put out if we end up picnicking in the rain under the wind of an aeroplane instead of out on the grass watching them fly! It would, I suppose, be a typical English outing.
Although planned for some months, Mr.
wallabok’s employers have chosen this weekend to send him to Guinea on Sunday, so I am under strict instructions to get a lot of photographs.
Note to self: clear memory on camera and make sure the charger is handy. One day I shall have to invest in a larger memory chip too, but if I hold the pictures to 3meg they will be reasonable quality and I can get a lot of them on the camera.
In other news, the fourth Test has just started; Freddie Flintoff is out, Steve Harmison is in. An all-pace attack then, but one fewer competent batsmen. Let’s hope it works. Win this Test and we regain the Ashes.
