Times Books
Monday, October 26th, 2009 02:01 pmWell, chaps, I’m too busy right now to write much, but I thought you might like to know that The Times is at it again with the books this week.
The theme is –appropriately for the week leading up to Halloween - Chillers. They seem to have abandoned any sort of order in the list they print on the back cover, so today’s offering is listed last:
The only place I can vouch for selling these is M&S. As usual, most outlets are selling the newspaper only, not the bagged edition with the free book. Since today's offering by Wilkie Collins is subtitled on the title page, "A Mystery of Modern Venice" it may appeal particularly to
pax_draconis and even if it turns out not, will only cost 90p.
While I am at it, there’s still a few days to go if you want to submit your Halloween story as advertised ad nauseam in LJ entries passim.
