Home working

So I got up - a little earlier than usual, as ellefurtle had to leave early for a meeting. I breakfasted (or broke fast, if we are waxing lyrical, and why not?), checked my email, cursed the slowness of Echo Bazaar to replenish, got dressed and drank more coffee.

I tidied up the kitchen, hoovered the kitchen floor and hallway and then cleaned up any trailed-in splotches that the snowy weather had inevitably caused and came back upstairs to drink more coffee.

I have arranged to work from home today because the landlord and some worthy artisan had arranged to inspect the damage caused to the promenade deck of The Carpathia by the recent inclemency. This is the reason for the frenzied early-morning wash and brush up of our abode. The annoying thing is, that I actually have work to do and will have to show some progress tomorrow when I go back to the office.

I have arranged my note pad, I have attached the flash memory with the requisite files - I have even opened one.In a moment, it being 11.05 as I type, I shall make a start. However, I ...shiny...
