Well I was up even earlier this morning -about 8:55, despite not turning in until about 2:20.
I have rarely if ever had a cold whereby I actually don't feel particularly ill, but during which my entire head has filled with goo making it impossible to breathe except through my mouth for hours at a time. I dursen't like it kids, I dursen't. More to the point, Furtle isn't enjoying it much either. While I didn't go to bed until very late, it's lucky that she did. I am told that from about 3:00 to around 5:00 my snoring (never undersold at the best of times) achieved an all-time record, to the point where she availed herself of her iPod with new in-ear sound reduction ear pieces to drown me out.
If my tubes don't clear soon, I might have to sleep on the futon in the living room for a couple of nights. In the meantime I am swallowing paracetamol and ibuprofen at staggered two hour intervals to try and keep the symptoms manageable.
Tis annoying.
