Today marks the beginning of the second of our two weeks off.

We haven't, it is fair to say, done much with our time off so far, other than just relax. And sleep. There has been lots of sleep. I don't know about [livejournal.com profile] ellefurtle, but I needed it. I just didn't realise how much until I'd had great steaming plates of it. This week however, we plan to try and do something. Not a huge amount, I guess, but a trip out at least. Today that will probably be limited to a walk in the park, or a wander off down the road, just to get some fresh air. The main job for today is -and somewhere inside me, my teenage self wails in horror at this- to hang the net curtains we bought last week. At least in the living room and possibly the kitchen (if you knew the layout of the house, you'd understand the concept of nets in the kitchen).

I'm not sure that what little street cred I ever had (and it was always simply a token amount) will survive the admission that we have now watched and enjoyed season one of True Blood. To the point - and I can imagine my cred balance going overdrawn here - that we have ordered season 2 from Amazon. I balance that with the admission that we have House season 5 coming along, too.

Last night we watched Casino Royale on DVD for the first time since we saw it at the movies a couple of years back. I'd forgotten just how good an action movie it is, especially when I recall how disappointed I was with the follow-up, Quantum of Solace. Pity we probably won't get to see a further outing for Daniel Craig (or indeed anyone else) as Bond, unless the Fat Cabbage Company can negotiate a switch of studios for the franchise. (I Understand there are rumours of Bond 23 going ahead in the summer of 2011, but with things as they are, I'll believe it when I see it).

I think I shall wander off and find something to eat. Please excuse me; I may post again later.
