Full steam ahead
Monday, October 25th, 2010 10:49 amThe weekend was very quiet.
On Saturday we took the opportunity to wrangle bits and pieces around the house and shove stuff into the loft. I may have said this before, but I think that’s the last of the stuff to go up there. I’ll let you know next week what else we allocate for it. Ha.
Having done that and hovered around upstairs, including getting the PCs out and using the hoover on the cooling fans. I’m not sure how much difference it made to mine, but certainly Furtle’s computer now sounds rather less asthmatic; positively perky, in fact.
Yesterday we got some shopping done before wandering around to help
jimfer and
catpooka paint the walls in their flat, as part of Operation Deposit Retrieval. Thereafter, we had food prepared to Furtle’s grandma’s secret recipe before despatching them off home to darkest, deepest Essex.
Sometime during the weekend we managed to finish season three of True Blood, meaning we no longer have anything to watch on DVD in long runs (though various TV show seasons have started up again, so we are not entirely bereft of televisual entertainment), and I managed to get my main WoW character up to level 65 and complete the exploration of the two ‘classic’ WoW continents, Kalimdor and The Eastern Kingdoms. I am also about half way through exploring Outland, but I am beginning to run into some big brutes there, so I shall have to slow down until the vitamins kick in. Still, I am well on the way to earning the ‘Explorer’ title for the character.
Today in the office, it is rather cool. Many people are complaining that it is downright chilly, but I am enjoying the temperature. Of course, they may be trying to reduce staff numbers cheaply, through pneumonia, as well as saving a couple of conkers on the heating bill. King Cash must be saved and to Hell with the troops.
Allons, mes Enfants!
