caddyman: (I've had enough of this!)
At the risk of becoming a ‘cat bore,’ a danger that is easy to run in to, I have to report that this morning after breakfast we were alarmed by indignant feline yowls from the bathroom.

Now, unless one of is in there, we try to keep Jasper out of the bathroom in the same way that we try to keep him out of the kitchen (or at least off the work surfaces). This morning, however, he snuck in unobserved and investigated.

On hearing the indignant squeals, I went in to see the cat on the window sill stretching and mewling in clear and evident annoyance. There was nothing there that would obviously annoy him, so I wandered over to see why he was so upset.

The layout of the bathroom is such that the window is very close to the toilet and within easy pounce distance for a cat. Given the level of noise, but lack of injury, coupled with the fact that his arse and tail were soggy, I am forced to conclude that the clumsy little sod fell in the loo.

Furtle is likely to be late home tonight; I may have to shove the cat in the shower and become public enemy number one. But I don’t fancy having a cat near, on, or in the bed or kitchen with dried loo water all over its hind quarters.
