Small things and petty

The clicky, sparky thing on our hob – the thing that lights the gas rings – has stopped working for no reason that we can see. We are reduced to lighting the gas with matches, which is quaint and Dickensian, but not what we were after.

I hope, rather than suspect, that there is an easily accessible battery somewhere that we can change and have our sparky hob lighter back. Furtle has done some cursory investigations on teh intarwebs, which suggest that it may be expensive to replace.

Which is annoying.

On a lighter note, there was a rare sighting of Mr Short-Trolleys last night. I think he only has one set of clothes, since he is always dressed exactly the same. He tanks along at a fair old pace when he’s walking, which he does in a strange manner, as if he is trying to hold a gherkin between his bum cheeks and not drop it. I haven’t seen the other feller for a while: combat pants and crew cut guy. Maybe we have got our routines out of sync.

The office browser (ancient and unsupported IE6) having been very good recently, cannot cope with the finer points of Facebook today, by which I mean anything more clever than reading what’s on the screen and the most recent comments. No commenting or scroll down for Bryan except by iPhone…
