It mohst be blodd!
Monday, July 4th, 2011 11:57 amI really didn’t want to get out of bed this morning.
The trouble is, you see, that having overindulged somewhat (hem hem) on Saturday evening/Sunday morning, much of yesterday was washed out with me feeling washed out (although it has to be said, not as bad as Furtle who appears to have lost all tolerance for alcohol).
The upshot is that large tracts of yesterday were lost to snoozing and by the time bed time rolled around again, I was fully awake and at 2am only juist beginning to feel tired. So, combined with the heat, it took me a fair old while to doze off last night. This morning, therefore…
Oh well. I have had a monstrous huge latté and have a bottle of coke in readiness. I shall probably have to invest in second full caffeine coffee later on and I expect to leave work promptly and do very little this evening.
One thing we will do tonight will be to watch episode 2 of True Blood season 4, though I am coming to the conclusion that having jumped the shark with the faerie revelation in season 3, it has since (to mix metaphors) circled the drain, got swallowed up and then regurgitated so it can circle for a little longer. I was bored by episode 1 and found that my suspension of disbelief had to be stretched to a full throttling of it. Shame really, seasons 1 and 2 were excellent. But I guess that there’s so much vampire stuff out there these days that it must be pretty much impossible to carry on producing a workable series without resorting to ever more ludicrous story lines.
Oh well. On with the motley.
Whatever that means.
