In the summertime

We ran the air-conditioning for a while to get the temperature down just enough to prevent lead solders in any plugs in the bedroom from melting. It meant that it didn’t feel quite so tropical in the bedroom.
Despite forgetting to use the insect repellent, the Mosquitoes, obviously sleeping off previous feasts didn’t bother me either. All in all, a far better night of snoozing, though for some reason, despite the fact I was trying to sort myself out, I still didn’t get to bed any earlier than usual. Never mind though, I feel rather fresher today and since the weather is also cooler, it’s all grand.
I confess to becoming increasingly demob happy as we approach the weekend. This time next week, we will have returned from Edinburgh and into the second day of wrangling my folks around town. Much will depend upon the weather; Mum doesn’t do hot weather; she’s worse at it than I am.
