Holy Flying Circus

I just watched Holy Flying Circus, the BBC4 fantasy dramatisation of the furore that erupted around the release of Monty Python's Life of Brian back in 1979.

I don't quite know what I was expecting, but I thoroughly enjoyed it, particularly Charles Edwards' portrayal of Michael Palin, which was so good that it almost was Palin. All slightly surreal in the best fashions of Python, with some nicely judged anachronisms, too. Good stuff.
