Well, I see that Live Journal is having continued difficulties. *Yawn*. According top the status page it is up but still subject to DDoS attack. It may be up form you, but it’s not up for me. Happily, Dreamwidth is and this has been posted from there. It may even cross post, who knows?1

I am back in the office after a rather longer weekend than intended. As I posted last Wednesday, the old throat was playing up, so I was out of the office for two days with that and then on Friday, still croaky but substantially improved, it was off to Norfolk for the annual GASP.

For the first time in about five years it looked as though we would have the band back together as it were, as Jez was scheduled to come along for the whole weekend. Sadly, although he started out with us, his car had to turn back as he received a phone call about his dad, who is very ill. The weekend got going a little later, sans Jez and a little subdued.

After the initial disappointment things picked up and we had a fine old time. Mr [profile] rumfuddle brought along what he misleadingly labelled a “cake” but which was in fact death on legs. Just look at the picture below, your arteries will start furring up just looking at it behind cut for the bandwidth and arterially challenged: )
It was marvellous. The crumbly amoretti biscuit and amaretto base was simply there to provide a delivery system for the mascarpone healthily cut with cream… And yes, I am trying to secure the recipe for those asked.

I think I need to go and lie down. Just thinking about it is giving me palpitations…

1It seems to have loaded just as I typed that line, but it is glacially slow.
