Today (or rather yesterday; it's the wee early hours again) on the way home from work, I popped into the West End to visit GOSH Comics for the first time since they relocated from opposite the British Museum, to Berwick Street, deep in the heart of Soho.
The reason for my visit was simply to pick up a copy of British cartoonist and illustrator, Tom Gauld's latest publication, Goliath, which I believe was actually launched on 9 March - ie a week ago, in that very boutique.
Simply illustrated, Goliath is a retelling of the biblical story from the point of view of Goliath himself. He's a soldier in the Philistine Army and is happiest doing admin. He doesn't like fighting much. He is tall. Very tall. But he's not a giant and all in all, he'd rather be elsewhere.

It's a witty story, with wry humour and pathos. We already know how it's going to end and that lends poignancy. Highly recommended, if you like comics. Hell, it's just highly recommended.
And just to add to the fun, when Tom Gauld visited for the launch, he didn't so much sign the stock, as doodle little images on the dedication pages, so each one is unique:
