So that was the Oscars, then, eh? It was all rather predictable, wasn’t it?

With the possible exception of Winsey actually getting an Oscar for once – but then the film was about the Holocaust, so kerching - very little departed from formula.

Heath Ledger got his award on the basis that there was never going to be another chance to award him anything and the best and rest were pretty much hoovered up by Slumdog Squarepants.

All a bit boring really.

It was an excellent film and well deserved. I've not seen Slumdog but I really liked Milk.

I completely agree. But even liking the film as much as I did, especially Penn's portrayal of Harvey Milk, after the trend in awards this year, I was half expecting Rourke.

I do wonder why they broadcast award ceremonies, I mean if you aint there and you aint getting one and it's not in your field...why would peeps be interested? Then I remembered Big Brother and strictly come ice dance of many colours existed.
