With apologies to Gordon Astley, quondam breakfast broadcaster with Beacon Radio back in the early 1980s:

"Gordon, Gordon will relieve your boredom.
When you wake up feeling down,
Look for Gordon Brown"

I feel a teensy bit sorry for the bloke, I have to admit. Not much, you understand. Just a bit.

The stupid thing was that when I heard the whole thing on PM it sounded like a reasonable interview. OK, the woman was a bit batty scattering issues at his feet with gay abandon, but it didn't sound like a 'disaster'.

You have to wonder if, [my major bugbear] mirroring the rest of life nowadays apparently [/my major bugbear], any second spent talking to people that isn't instantly and obviously productive and adds value is seen as a waste.

I think it is generally accepted that it had gone rather well right up to the moment he got in the car and griped!

As to wasted time..?

Well I doubt most people see it that way, but Golden Gordon isn't a people person...

HAH! that'll larn him. I have no sympathy. If you want to be in the public eye and do an interview with an "ordinary" person then remember that you are wearing a microphone and keep your mouth shut. OR remember that you are wearing a microphone and say only nice things.
I expected no less from the condescending- - - Prime Minister.

This is the man that has the power to take us all to hell and back and yet he can't remember to remove a microphone? I have never trusted him, or his mate. They have no real interest in this country other than how much it can give them without them having to do any real work.

I have my soapbox, I know how to use it.

Channelling The Stranglers - "Never a frown, with Gordon Brown".

It could have been better for him.
