Last Thursday's Weather

I have finally got around to uploading the piccies I took last Thursday during our recent spate of inclement weather. Bear in mind that this was the stuff that ensured that it took me over two hours to get to work. You will notice that pretty as it is in places, there is less than 2" of the stuff. Ignore the time stamps; I haven't worked out how to get the camera off BST, so it's all an hour ahead of when it should be.

From the bus stop looking north up the High Road. That white van with its headlights on is the one that cut in and sent the brackish black slush up the left leg of my chinos. Damn him.

The views from the bedroom show off the battlements a treat. We had that much snow but ours didn't arrive until Friday (welsh climate change) and it clogged up the streets more effectively than anything I have ever seen - and I experienced the great freeze of 1962/63 as I keep telling people.
They don't make things like they did in "the old days"

One of my earliest memories is of Dad digging the car out of the snow outside my Nan's house around that time (though to be fair it could just as easily been a year later) and pretty much failing. I seem to recall being carried back home part of the way at least because the snow was too deep for my 3-4 year old legs to cope with.
