Yesterday was a quite a busy time as ellefurtle and I blitzed the Athenaeum Club with sponges, cloths & exotic unguents, dusters and the vacuum cleaner in an attempt to disguise the habitual squalor against the forthcoming visit of Mr & Mrs telemeister from Californie. I still have a little to do this morning, but by and large, I think we're done.

I have today and tomorrow off; it's going to be a great week. A combination of annual leave and bank holidays means that I shall only have to work on Wednesday and Thursday morning. For once I am full of feelings of bonhomie towards the civil service. These observations are almost certainly linked.

I may post later. I may not. Who knows?

I look into my crystal ball and I see that yes, you will post later; I predict it will be related to waiting for a phone call. You will see someone you haven't seen in, oh, about 30 years ............ ;)
