I am looking with suspicion at my dwindling supply of Nescafé and wondering whether it will last out until tomorrow lunchtime, or whether I am going to have to nip out and replenish it. I strongly suspect that replenishment is called for and that I cannot restrain my coffee-absorbing abilities sufficiently to make the supply last. To be honest this is probably just as well. I would be miserable if I rationed my coffee intake in the office and then with a week away, I would just up and forget to buy a new jar and come back to the office to a caffeine-free environment. This would not be good for my already poor productivity.

That said, in recent days I seem to have developed a little more energy and generally shaken off the cold of eternity that has been plaguing me to various degrees for the past few months. My chest has cleared, I am coughing and sneezing less and boredom apart, generally less tired. In part, I put this down to (slightly) healthier eating and to the resurgence of my generally efficient immune system, which has simply been swamped by exotic viruses and stuff. I took [livejournal.com profile] queenortart’s advice and bought some multi-vitamins and they have had a salutary effect on me. Again, however, I have made a bit of a boo boo. It seems that Multibionta 50 is more than just a brand name, it is a description, too. These tablets seem to be for the over 50s. Oops. Must read the label next time before purchasing. Still, they seem to be doing some good, so…
