caddyman: (Now let me see...)

In work a little late this morning as I had to nip to the optician’s to pick up my new glasses. It is interesting that I am only supposed to use them while I use the computer – the prescription is much weaker than my old one, which is reasonable since I am no longer supposed to have long vision.

What is different about this prescription is that I can’t honestly see the difference when I use the computer – I suppose the point is that I could see OK before, but my eyes had to strain a little to do it because of the astigmatism; now they don’t. When I am wearing them I can now see for about two yards before the focus starts to blur and I have to take them off. That is about two feet further than I could see in the other glasses.

I don’t think these make me look quite so owlish, either. Hard to tell as I’m on the inside looking out, but they are wider and sit more easily on my head. I just wish they weren’t so bleeding expensive!

Blimey; look at those prices!

Trouble is, I couldn't see anything that said they ship to the UK (Name notwithstanding!).
