I am torn.

Tonight is the European Cup Final, or whatever they call it these days – the Champions’ League Final - (why do they have to keep arsing around with the formula?) between Manchester United and Barcelona. I really feel like sitting in front of the telly with a couple of cans of beer and watching the game.

On the other hand, it being Wednesday, we were thinking about wandering down to the Vue in East Finchley and taking in the new Trek movie that everyone likes. Decisions, decisions: I have emailed Furtle for an opinion; I seem incapable of deciding, though I am inclining toward the footie as it is a one-off and last time I blew off such a game for the movies I ended up disappointed with the final Star Wars rubbish and missed Liverpool’s classic comeback to win from 3-0 down.

I have just had the go ahead from you-know-who. Apparently she has garnered much sympathy at work for being stood up for footie! Cor, it’s not as if she really minds, the rotter.

Hehe! Of course I don't mind - we can go another night. But I couldn't pass up the chance to collect a suitable amount of sympathy, could I? :D

Although I don't think you'll find the Star Trek film anywhere near the disappointment that the Star Wars film was.

I think I may end up listening to the football on the radio while driving around (which according to the Today program scientists have said is dangerous)

Do not Diss the Trek.

If you DO D. the T. then Reimagined Tribbles will gnaw the flesh of thy tender bits until ye recant.

But, Romney doth predict that thy wilst join the Merrie Thronge that already clamore for a sequel.

I think the classic female uniforms could have been even shorter, and the film should have crossed universes and reflected George Lucas' view on females in space.

What? That they should be chained in metallic bikinis to humongous mounds of fat?

It's the only courting strategy he has.
