They do seem to be being a bit greedy, especially under current economic conditions. That said you'd have to pay me sodding tons of cash to drive a train all day. Strikes me as being horrendously boring, at the same time highly stressful, especially if your train happens to be the one some chav drops a brick on, or some head case decides to end his miserable existence by jumping in front of.
