It's a Woody Allen-ism, I remember it being quoted on QI. The full version being something like "There's nothing in nature more remarkable than a tree in summer, with the possible exception of a moose singing Embraceable You in spats.

My favourite is the one about the two yorkshiremen on a touring holiday in the Wye Valley the first one says

"Tintern Abbey"

"'Tis," says the other, "It's a big church"

We laugh about it everytime we pass - which is frequently.
