Well, it's Tuesday night again and that means the quiz. We are now officially half wa through the season and have scraped one win and one draw. The win was last week rather than tonight which was more of a return to form, losing merrily to a weak team with one inspired player. How do we do it? I dunno. Luckily we don't care overly and divert our energies to drinking REAL ALE. Hurrah.

I sit here with cocoa afroth in a mug beside me.

This reminds me that I have found, and indeed am wearing, the Claddagh ring formerly known as lost.

Last night post logoff but pre snorage, I made a similar cup of cocoa. While I was drying out the mug, there was a rattle on the floor and there looking suspiciously innocent was the missing ring. Odd.

I am keeping an eye open for suspicious happenings around the garrett for the next few days. If other things myseteriously disappear and reappear I shall be investing in Borrower traps. Arrietty Clock and kin shall not make a fool out of me. That's a job I reserve to myself.

I find myself looking forward to the weekend which for me starts tomorrow night. I have booked Thursday through Monday inclusive off. Friday the usual bunch, including romney and myself are off for the annual GASP weekend to be held this year in a cottage outside Barnstaple. Thursday, though, I am off chez anubisgrrl for a traditional American Thanksgiving dinner. We did this a couple of years back and it was rather, rather good.

Thank God the Quack took the blood test yesterday. None of this will show up....

I thought I was being stoic, nay philosophical, about the loss but the sense of relief I had when I found it suggests that I was deluding myself.

I don't know you and I don't care. You're the only person here who likes eccles cakes, aside from me, and you drink real ale. I think I have found a new hero. Keep drinking and eating eccles cakes. Not drinking eccles cakes of course, unless you're some kind of magician.
