I suppose that I should have guessed when I couldn’t get a copy of The Times on either Monday or Tuesday that they are busy giving away books again. This is a shame, because of the titles they are giving away this week, there’s only one that piques my interest and that was Monday’s offering.

The theme this week is Oscars: the books all being titles that inspired movies. On the vague off chance that anyone is interested (and you may be able to pick up anything you’ve missed from a charity shop), the list is:

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, by Ken Kesey
Julie and Julia, by Julie Powell,
Notes on a Scandal, by Zoë Heller,
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, by F Scott Fitzgerald and
A Streetcar Named Desire, by Tennessee Williams.

Not quite sure where we will put them, but still…
