EAR WORM!!!

About a week ago, Chris Evans became obsessed with early 80s TV shows on his breakfast radio show on Radio 2. Fair enough, you have to fill the airwaves with something suitably inane, particularly in the morning on a general entertainment radio station.

However.

This obsession crystallized around – of all things - Metal Mickey, which was owned but not created by erstwhile Monkee, Mickey Dolenz. This is all fine and dandy and I have no problem with it per se, but the bugger played the theme tune several times over the week and now I have been ear wormed by it. I cannot get it out of my head and find myself humming or whistling it over and over. I wouldn’t mind, but I don’t particularly like it and even worse, I only know about three bars and the name, Metal Mickey.

It’s driving me mad. MAD, I tell you! MAAAD!!!

Mine over the past couple of days has been When Father Got Stuck up the Chimney. Worse it's a non-existent one, compiling the words of two songs which had the same tune - father having painted the parlour, while Santa was too corpulent for his normal entry.
