We are about to watch the pilot and I know nothing about it other than it has zombies...

I've only seen the pilot so far, but I enjoyed it. As to 28 Days Later, there are uncanny similarities, but apparently the comic series (that the TV show's based on) came first.

Just watched episode 3(?) maybe 4 ... and it is enjoyable, though possibly turning into soap opera set in a zombie backdrop. God I hope not because it has promise, but I am cynical of American writers and what they do to spin out successful shows.
