caddymanBBC reported the death of Steve Jobs just before 1.00 am on 6 October.
Even as late as the launch of the iPhone 4S, it wasn't clear just how ill he was and some thought he might make a short appearance. In the end though, the pancreatic cancer that forced him to cut down his involvement and eventually retire completely from Apple proved too much and he died yesterday aged 56.
