The eyes have it

Today I have finally remembered to bring eye drops into the office. Furtle dug them out and put them on my desk days ago, but I kept forgetting to put them in my bag. Dummkopf that I am.
I’m not sure if there has been a change to the air conditioning at work, but the air seems a lot drier than it used to. People are sneezing more and many have remarked upon how warm and dry everything is. The past ten days or so, my eyes, in the afternoon, have felt like sandpaper and I have found myself rubbing them manically trying to get rid of the itch. Result: wandering around with eyes like piss holes in the snow.
Hopefully liberal dousing with eye drops will stop that from happening, but I guess that I should take it relatively easy with them, too. There’s always something, isn’t there?
