Still the weekend hasn't been a washout - on the Footie every team I'm interested in did well, particularly the Wolves and the Shrews. Blimey, even Telford managed a win. And the Baggies lost humiliatingly. Hey, it don't get no better'n this.
On a passing note: How good are MP3s chaps? I fell like blowing some cash and that is an option. An option brought on partially, I might add, by the insane jealousy that hit me momentarily on reading that![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
seulange has been listening to music from King Crimson's Power to Believe which is not commercially available until tomorrow, and which is still out of stock at the otherwise splendid Play.com.
Grumble.
Anyway, DT and I went to see Daredevil tonight at the absurdly-difficult-to-get-to-from-Clapham Odeon in Streatham.
Not a bad flick all told. Nice to see that Stan Lee manages another cameo and both John Romita nd Jack Kirby were referenced during the movie. Oh what a nerd I am...
My main thiought is that there can be few people in Manhatten other than the police and Foggy Nelson who don't know precisely who Daredevil is. In Champions terms I don't think he paid full whack for hios secret ID.
I'll say nothing more about it in case you are thinking about going to see it.
The trailer for X2 looks good. It seems that we'll see more of Kitty Pryde (do you know, until I typed that the pun had never occurred to me...) and Bobby Drake (Iceman) and of course there's Nightcrawler.
The 10 year old in the back of my head can't wait for May.

The higher the bitrate the better the quality, but the bigger the file. 128kbps is generally respected as CD-Quality - which is about 1MB per minute of audio. Obviously the quality of the MP3 is unlikely to be better than the original, though there is software which can allegedly remove scratching noise from sampled vinyls.
Recently I've plugged my PC into an iPod - which is basically a portable hard-drive which plays MP3s walkman-stylee. And it's fantastic!

With my noise machine right next to me it seems a tad pointless faffing around putting this stuff on my aged but beloved PC...
