I can't make up my mind whether this two litre bottle of Coke from which I am quaffing is an example of globalisation or diversity in action (to use two twenty-first century buzz words in one sentence).

As we know, Coke is an American product, but this bottle was was purchased in London from an Asian outlet, having originated it seems, in Poland.

And to think that but 30 years ago it was usually a case of Panda Cola or Vimto, like it or lump it. Although we should not forget the honourable mention to Corona lemonade and dandelion & burdock etc - though since these rarely came in cans so I'm not sure they count.

You have to hunt high and low for dandelion and burdock nowadays.

It's probably an example of anti-glocalisation.

I think Fish and Chip shops are forming some kind of home brand pop frontier. They still sell all the old fizzy drink brands and flavours, at least up here anyhoo.
