I have had to turn the bastard thing on and off four times before it allowed me to respond to my email.

Blue screens and OE errors seem to be the rule of the day, and I spend too much time playing with it to be able to sit calmly through multiple reboots.

It seems to be behaving now. That seems to be largely because I have disabled the firewall which does not appreciate cont-alt--del command any more than I do. To the point something called VSMon goes into a sulk and a pen nib in the reset button is the only answer.

I am off to invent new and more expressive curses.

I remember the days of old, and the dreaded bluescreenings. it took me two days just to restore the computer's original hardware. That was before I bought an eMac. The world is much better now.

See....

I'm not the only one!!!!!!

Modern Macs run a wonderful, stable and frankly better OS than anything to ever come out of Microsoft since MS DOS version 5.0 - buy one immediately, you will not regret it - and I'll give you loads of software, don't worry....

VSmon is a componenet of Zone Alarm that I have had problems with in the past. It is known to have issues with certain antivirus software.

It took me a little while to find a combination of personal firewall, and antivirus software that worked together. Currently I use Kerio personal Firewall and AVG antivirus together and they have caused me no problems at all.
