Ah, but the endless repeats.

At least of those produced in colour, anyway. I can't remember the last time anyone broadcast anything older than Stingray.

Mind you, they were rubbish. I remember watching Fireball XL5 round at my Nan's and being half entertained and half bemused by it. That would have been 8-9 years before your time. Mebbe more.
