Dear reader I have come home early from the office before I complete my transformation into a snot-monster.

Some things just have to be done in private.

Though it's not yet 5.30 I am going to climb under the duvet for an hour provided I can breathe lying down. This is my first cold for over two years.

I'd forgotten how miserable they are.

You have my quite sincerest sympathies...

I've just come out the other end of my first for two years as well, and frankly it was horrid. If it's any consolation it only takes three days judging by my experience, although by the time it's gone I reckon that the cough will have been in residence for a week or so.

Get Well Soon!

sympathy for nasssty cold. These germs seem to attack normally resistant folks - I hadn't had one for a couple of years either.

PS - the difference between cold and flu

Actually you couldn't be more right - I didn't turn the computer on for three days, let alone look at LJ!

I have never had the flu and I hope I never do...

My Mum had it some years back and was flat out for a fortnight. People who take a day off with 'flu' are just kidding themselves.
