It's done.

I've lost all my email addresses and saved emails, plus about a dozen superfluous icons, but my PC is up and running again.

And it's marvellous to have back.

Oh joy.

Priority was to get it back up and running. But I am sore tempted to move to XP, now.

Actually, I quite like the new, uncluttered look. I'd got used to having all these icons sitting there attached to applications I never used.

The applications are still there on the task bar should I ever need them though.
