I find myself wondering how in Hell's name someone like me can get to Saffron Walden without a car. The website is useless - it has a link to the National Rail website, but apparently there is no railway station in Saffron Walden.

My first thought was that you'd never fit down the modem port.

However, I imagine the analog-to-digital conversion process will find a lot of redundancy and despite your wide bandwidth, encode you in under 2K. This will then allow you to fit into the Internet equivalent of a size eight dress. You can be inflated back at the far end. While painless, this is not entirely loss-free and would put paid to your remaining hair.

Also, an amusing DNS BIND failure would have you re-emerge from the net as a jpeg in the little-known "goatfondler.com" site.

Yeah, the whole lack of station thing is a bit of a shit, we didn't realise until a couple of weeks ago. There are quite a few people coming from Ware (Morgan, Chiara, Ian Over, Hayden). DT and Simon are coming from London. Maybe one of them could help.

There appears to be a station at Wendens Ambo, which doesn't look too far away. I can pick you up from there in the evening, or if you're planning on being out and about sooner, I shall be in the Hertfordshire and Essex area all day, so we could probably sort something out.
