Web space

Hurrah.

I seem to have my web space sorted out, so this is a trial upload. Some years ago, some friends thought about putting a band together to be called the Ten Famous Belgians the joke being that they were a three piece, of course.

The band formed, rehearsed, got no gigs, and split up making not a ripple in the world of music.

But I did put this together for them as the backdrop for possible fliers when they were still enthusiastic enough to think they had a future as rock stars:



It seemed a fitting first item to put on my web space which is likely only ever to be used thus since I can't abide "Hey look! This is me!" WebPages from people with nothing to say.

I have nothing to say on one. All my ramblings go here, and that's bad enough...

Name some famour belgians is a great drunken game...
Usually we get stuck after:
- Jean Claude Van-Damme
- Hercule Piorot (fictional)
- Tintin (also Fictional)
- The Singing Nun
- Plastic Bertrand, of Sa Plane Pour Moi fame

BUT!!! (dramatic pause)
just googling up stuff to spell Bertrands name right I found http://www.famousbelgians.net/ which lists 259 of them!!!

I saw this some years ago under a different name (same webmaster). I actually don't think being renowned in a field necessarily qualifies as being 'famous', neither does being fictional, nor living before Belgium was established (which neatly loses all those Flemish painters).

It soon pares down the list, but you can still find ten.

certainly the inventor of modern asphalt shouldn't count, he's not famous - and while the saxaphone is good, not many people remember who invented it. but you can get a good 10, especially with the blindsider of Audrey Hepbury ...
