He had a heart attack 2 weeks ago and then slipped into a coma. Poor sod :( Very sad story.

Part of me wants to be clever and so "So, he's just a celeb".

But God-damn, he did everything he could to make it out of that chair after the accident. Can't help feeling for someone with that much guts. I think most people would have withered away under the strain, but he fought. I think he will be remembered as Superman, probably couldn't be more fitting.

I think it's because of the bloke's struggle, and refusal to give up, that the news brought a lump to the old throat. Otherwise, I think you're right, he would just have been another celeb.
