It's snowing, by the Lord Harry. It's snowing.

Not much in the Great Scheme of Things(c), but snowing nonetheless. It's sticking, too. At this rate I confidently forecast three, maybe four millimetres by morning. If the wind picks up, it might drift to an entire centimetre in places.

Just enough for a snow mouse on top of the car...

Well bugger me with a hosepipe strapped onto a honda. It's snowing here aswell!

I wouldn't have bothered checking if I hadn't read this.
I'm off to run round the garden for a bit...

Bah, humbug. Not here, though I harbour faint hopes of seeing some in Somerset when we venture in that direction in a few days' time....

I am amused by this. You see most years, up here in the aptly-named frozen north, we get snow by the bucketload and it arrives in the first ice-rimed delivery, fresh from the snow factory. This year, however, the Weather Post seems to have got its machines cross-wires, its postcodes mixed up and its stamps on the wrong parcels, as all we have seen is a pitiful attempt at sleet that lasted all of two hours. There's been a bit more than that up on the hills, but nothing to really shout about.

On the whole, this is a very good thing, but it makes me wonder whan the delivery that's undoubtedly going round and round in the system, accumulating layer upon layer of 'not known at this address' is going to arrive...

The very very plus point, of course, has been day after day of crystal clear, bright weather, followed by nights of almost painful clarity, with stars blinking uncaring and close above.

I'll shut up now. It would be so much better if I could blame the alcohol.

A crystal-clear night here in Hove (actually), no snow but the brightest full moon I think I've ever seen.
