Thank God Hutch didn't sing.

Why did the devil only have one cloven hoof?

Er...

That's it.

Edited to add: I am in complete agreement, BTW, with [livejournal.com profile] pax_draconis about the idea of the tee-shirt: Dip Me in Chocolate and Throw Me to the Lesbians

Didn't he make an album in the 70's?

Yup, at least one.

I thought the Devil was the best thing in it, even single hoofed. Loved the 'Fuck' theme (WTF WTF WTFFF!). I'm not that into musicals or Opera at all so I was pleased with the overall result, especially the first part of the first half and the last part of the last half.

I could have sat through an hour of their commercial breaks, they killed me.

Note that Christ is only a bit Gay.

What was the deal with the Valkyrie, she popped up two or three times and didn't appear at all in Hell, a bit odd!

I think the point of the valkrie was simply that Jerry wasn't going to let that particular fat lady sing.

Yes, he did. And had a couple of singles in the charts from it, too. Sort of David Cassidy lite as I recall.

The magic of google reminds me that the big hits were, "Don't Give Up On Us, Baby" and "Silver Lady".

In fact it seems that there were multiple albums and singles.

I watched most of it but not the add-ons. The "audience" were the real stars, of course. It reminded me a lot of old Zappa shows, humiliation through enforced recreation type of thing, and I quite enjoyed it from that point of view. As for a bunch of fundies wanting to determine how I may or may not be allowed to entertain myself, I'm just appalled.

Umm - I bought that t-shirt when I went there... although it doesn't really class as a t-shirt because it's rather small!

I seen about five seconds of it and some rotund lady was warbling "you don't know shit" over and over again in a sub-Kiri Ti Kanawa style. I quietly made my excuses and backed away rather sharpish.
