And eventually...
Wednesday, February 2nd, 2005 01:01 pmIt's taken me forty minutes of hanging around on the telephone, giving the same information at least four times, and listening to lots of elevator music interspersed with advertising gabblefarb, but I think I have now cancelled my contract with ntl as from Saturday 12 February.
This will inevitably mean one of two possible outcomes: when I get home tonight the telephone and cable TV will have been disconnected ahead of time, or equally likely, they will do nothing, and hound me for unpaid subscriptions for a service I'm not using, for the rest of my life.
I sincerely doubt that I shall ever use ntl again. Next time I want satellite channels, I shall go direct to Sky.
