Now, I wouldn't want it said that I am inordinately lazy, but the kitchen is two whole flights of stairs away; I have a sink up here in The Tower, a spare kettle and multiple power points.

I am musing over the possibilities of purchasing one of these for £14.99 for my late night beverage needs...

Argos. Marvellous place.

I would offer you mine, but translocating it from me to thee would potentially cost 15 quid!
I bought it for camping, but found it to much fiddle.
Such device should be fine for maintaining a supply of good milk and firm chocolate of a hot summer.

If you need to ask then you're clearly over-tired.

YES OF COURSE YOU SHOULD GET ONE!

2 whole flights

l am trying to figure out the composition of the building you are living in. ls it a bed sit, are you in the basement, is it a communal kitchen? ls it a religous commune? Yes l am aware you have moved from the polish womans house but l am not sure of the type of building you live in now. Tower suggest flats, or a tall slim house of 3 stories, of the late 50's design l think. LJ was demoted from my list of daily activities for a while.

lt seems a little extravagant to buy that little fridge and it would take an illogical brain to purchase it. So wait until you are drunk before heading to Argos and handing them the 15 pounds, throw away the receipt so you can't return it when in a sober, reasonable sense of mind, and then you will be relieved of a little bit of your guilt.

It's a large, three-floor flat above a chemist on the high street. The kitchen is at the bottom of the flat, while my bedroom and computer room are right at the top (hence tower, which it really isn't, but when your life is as boring as mine, a little romancing of reality goes a long way!).

It's just that of an evening I like a drink before turning in, and hauling a cup up and down two flights of stairs, when I could just make a drink up there...

Or, you could be even lazier and develop a taste for lemon tea - bottles of lemon juice don't need a fridge and take ages to go off.

Not that I've done this, you understand.

Chill out

You'd do better with a small real fridge, perhaps a glass door one designed for drinks, or one with a small ice compartment to keep a couple of Fab ice-lollies in. A real fridge will have room for more than a can of coke and a yoghurt, and will keep milk (and a bottle of Baileys) proper cold, and probably use no more electrickey than the toy.

You could also keep the pith helmet in it for those tropical nights when you need a cool head.

Mind you, the toy fridge is cute and cheap, esp. if you've some Nectar points to burn off.

Back from India, back on the ibuprofen and back on the silly suggestions.

I suspect there's a link.

When you visit chez Romney I will remember that you consider a chilled Baileys to be a silly suggestion

now you are talking

her to the lazy gits with attics and fridges... unite and take over the world. Provided that is you can do it from your attic!!

I am up for the glass front fridge thing, few bottles of coke, milk, lollies etc fab. that thing is far too small for the real lazy git. You will spend most of your time filling it from the kitchen.

i for one have to go from my attic to my basement for a new bottle of coke this sucks. Need a dumb waiter. and a waiter for that matter.

maybe John H (sans lj) can get me one from his pub. Mmmm
